Primadonna is a modern musical that follows the story of an ordinary Malaysian girl, Amirah, and her journey towards her biggest dream; to be a singer. Her mother and her best friend, Adam, disapproves of her attending an audition for a record label in fear that Amirah might be subjected to xenophobia from the entertainment industry. Regardless of their advice, Amirah attends the audition and succeeds at her TV debut, garnering her international fame. Following her success, she faces the challenges of being a minority in the music industry which overwhelms her. After a break from the spotlight, she revives her singing career and repurposes it as a way to be an artist of Asian representation to inspire all the people who have the same dream as she did.
