Welcome to QM Futsal. We train on a weekly basis. We compete in BUCS.

 

Our aims/targets

BUCS- Gain promotion to 1st Division with the 1st Team, gain promotion to 3rd Division with the second team and also reach the 3rd round of the cup competition.

 

Our broader Objectives:

-Maintain a high level of commitment both in training and competitive matches throughout the course of the whole academic year.

 

Our history: We were created in September 2016.

 

Taster Session

Date: 28th September 2019

Time: 10am to 12pm (2 hours) - Please arrive at least 30 minutes before so there is enough time to sign you up and get changed if needed.

Format: Trials will consist on a couple of drills followed by futsal games between the participants.

What to bring: Futsal Shoes (Flat football shoes), Sports Clothes, and £2 to cover the cost of renting the venue

Training

Training starts week beginning Monday 23rd September, and will run for 11 weeks, and there will be no training in reading week. We train every Saturday from 10am to 12pm (2 hours) at Leyton Score Centre.

Competitions

1st Team competes at BUCS 2nd Division // 

2nd Team competes at BUCS 4th Division //

All games are played on Sundays for both teams. Home games will be played at Leyton Score Centre.

 

Personal Fitness

QMSU offers a gym on the Mile End campus, Qmotion, as well as a sister-gym in Charterhouse Square, Fitness to Practice, both with competitive student membership rates. This is ideal for students who want to purchase a gym membership - which is separate from a Club Sport subs - to improve and maintain peak physical fitness.

With every gym membership, you get a free 60 minute one-to-one session with trained instructors which includes:

  • A personalised gym programme tailored to your own fitness goals;
  • A full demonstration of exercise and techniques, and guidance on resistance machines;
  • Information and advice on nutrition;
  • A 60 minute review session every 6-8 weeks to re-evaluate and re-customise a new programme to avoid plateaus.
