Hi all, 

The purpose of this volunteer group is to combat isolation by getting involved in the Tower Hamlets community. 

Our volunteers work with Toynbee Hall day centre where we helpout at events, teach english, take part in a befriending scheme and much more. This is open to all students, even those that don't live at Griffin.

We have a separate scheme that brings Medical and Dental students together with the residents of Shaftesbury lodge. Where we've established a tight knit community through befriending schemes and events. This is limited to 23 medical and dental students only. They are provided flats at a subsidised rate to make London living more affordable on the premise that they do their bit to make our little community great!
