HELLO & WELCOME TO THE EAST AFRICAN SOCIETY !
QMUL East African Society is a society created to unite East Africans and non-East Africans alike who share an interest in being a part of a community that celebrates and showcases East African heritage, culture and customs. It will be a place where you will be able to meet a variety of amazing people from all walks of life with whom you will no doubt form lifelong friendships with!
Throughout the year, we will be holding fun events such as East African ‘cultural nights’, movie nights, dinners, games nights and more. We are also planning on running interesting debates around stigmatised topics as well as bringing in influential East Africans to give talks on a wide array of fascinating topics! One of our many aims is to also bring awareness to current unfortunate events happening in the region, so this is a society that will also have a charity focus.
