We are a group of students unified by our love of gospel music - how it glorifies God, compliments our voices and shares our culture!
We are a group of students studying various courses across Barts and QM who have come together because of our love for music and God. We are welcoming to all students, QM or Barts, fresher or final year, all races and all faiths, professional trained singer or critically aclaimed shower-screamer: feel free to join us! All you need is a little bit of passion!
As a society we hold rehearsals weekly to learn and perform a wide array of gospel songs in a number of different styles (and sometimes we throw in some moves ;)). We also perform at events held by other BL and QM societies where we showcase our love for Christ and for music in the songs we sing. We are also looking to start a band so musicians are more than welcome!
A word from our presidents: Gospel choir has been an incredible part of our 5/6 years in London. So many of our friendships were birthed over the chats, harmonies and late starts in this choir. We have also seen such a growth in our own character. We hate to be cringe but we are shy, often lack confidence and die at the thought of a solo but years later we are running the society - we give to gospel choir our time and effort but gospel choir has given much more back to us!
