Welcome to BL MINDS
BL MINDS is a student-led society dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive community for anyone with lived experience of, or an interest in, neurodivergence, disability, and mental health, whether personally, as a carer, or through supporting loved ones.
We aim to unite students, particularly within IHSE, who share these experiences or are passionate about improving understanding of how they intersect with academic, social, and professional life.
Through peer support, community events, and awareness initiatives, we strive to foster empathy, dismantle stigma, and empower our members to thrive both personally and academically.
Our Aims:
Build Community: Create an inclusive, welcoming environment where members feel valued, supported, and able to take part fully in university life.
Educate & Advocate: Host events, workshops, and campaigns that promote understanding of neurodivergence, disability, and mental health, equipping members and peers with knowledge and practical tools for inclusive practice.
Support & Connect: Provide spaces for sharing experiences, advice, and encouragement, ensuring that no one feels alone in navigating the challenges of university life.
Through relaxed socials, peer support spaces, awareness campaigns, and skills workshops, BL MINDS is here to ensure no student feels alone. If you’re looking for community, conversation, and a chance to make BL a more understanding place, join us and be part of the change.
