Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is an increasingly clinically relevant and a standard skill for clinicians across many specialties including emergency medicine, anaesthetics, general surgery, cardiology, general practice and more. 

As well as being helpful for career development and preparation, POCUS provides a fantastic medium for anchoring concepts in anatomy, physiology and beyond. 

BL POCUS is committed to giving medical students in all years exposure to, understanding of and basic skills in ultrasound.

We are passionate about ultrasound, dedicated to making ultrasound teaching accessible and enjoyable for everyone by using a clinician supervised, near-peer teaching model.

We run talks with POCUS experts, ultrasound skills teaching series, specialised ultrasound skills events, conference workshops and socials.

By joining BL POCUS you will be able to develop skills in POCUS, but also in teaching, team work, event organisation and research all while having a bunch of fun!
