We are a society for students studying or simply interested in Chemical Engineering. Our mission is to support academic and professional development while building a chemical engineering community for our members.
The society works closely with the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) to connect members with industry insights, career opportunities, and expert-led workshops. Whether you've carefully mapped out your future career or are still figuring things out, we’ll have something for you.
Throughout the year we will host a range of academic events, such as workshops, study support sessions, and guest lectures by industry professionals on topics our members care about. We’ll also run internal competitions, giving you the chance to apply your knowledge, develop key skills, and work on engaging projects. In addition to the internal competitions, there are external Chemical Engineering competitions we will enable you to partake in.
While we are an academic society, it won't all be equations and research. We also host regular social events for our members so you can meet other chemical engineers and have fun!
Our goal is to create a space for chemical engineers to develop and find a community. Wheter you want to develop academically or just have fun, the Chemical Engineering society has a place for you.
Academic Support: Provide resources, sessions, and a collaborative environment to you with your studies. We have members from all years, whatever you are struggling with right now, someone else has already done it.
Professional Development: Facilitate access to industry knowledge, networking opportunities, and career guidance through IChemE and other partners.
Community Building: Foster a welcoming space where Chemical Engineering students across all years can connect, support one another, and grow together.
Skill Development: Encourage growth through competitions, events, and hands-on projects that develop both technical and soft skills.
Inclusive Engagement: Cater to a wide range of interests and goals—whether you're focused on academics, your career, or simply want to be part of a great community.
