About us
The BL BSL Society aims to bring together people with an interest in British Sign Language (BSL). Whether you're a complete beginner or completely fluent, this society is a space to meet people with a common interest in BSL, learn it and improve together.
We hope to help bridge communication gaps with those who are deaf or hard of hearing, and help improve well-being, even through simple conversations. We plan to create an inclusive space where members can learn BSL without the concern of being judged and surrounded by people who want to help them. There will be a focus on learning basic conversational BSL and finger spelling; however, there will also be an overarching theme of healthcare throughout the sessions.
Our sessions are on a Tuesday evening in the Garrod.
