1. About Us

Welcome to Queen Mary Padel Club! We're here to bring one of the fastest-growing sports in the world to QMUL, and we want you to be part of it. Whether you've never picked up a racket before or you're already a seasoned player, all abilities are welcome. This is a club built for everyone.

What started from nothing has already grown into a community of over 100 active members, and we're not slowing down. Beyond the padel itself, we're building a space where you can train, compete, and make genuine friendships along the way, with regular socials and events to keep the club feeling like a proper community, not just a sports team.

As a brand-new sports club, we're taking our first steps into competitive university padel with real ambition. We'll be competing in the NUPL (National University Padel League) as part of its first ever London Conference, and we're working hard to bring BUCS into the mix too.

If you want to learn a new sport, get better at one you already love, or just be part of something growing fast at QMUL, Queen Mary Padel Club is waiting for you.

2. Training and Facility Details

Stratford Padel Club (main venue)

221 High Street, Stratford, London, E15 2AE

Our main venue for weekly Wednesday and Thursday sessions. From Queen Mary's Mile End campus, it's about a 20 minute bus, a 30 minute journey via the Central line (accounting for walking), an 8 minute Lime ride, or a 6 minute drive.

Rocket Padel Ilford (secondary venue)

Suite 2, Wellness Centre, Rocket Padel, The Drive, Ilford, IG1 3PS

Used to give members more flexibility depending on where they're coming from, and home to our Women's Only sessions. It's also home to our Beginner & Improver drills and matchplay sessions, a reminder that these require no membership, as they're less frequent sessions and are purely pay-as-you-go. From Queen Mary's Mile End campus: take the Central line direct to Redbridge station, then it's a 10 minute walk to the venue.

Padel United Redbridge (opening October 2026)

Located within Redbridge Sports Centre, Forest Road, Barkingside, Ilford, IG6 3HD

A brand-new venue we're excited to bring sessions to once it opens. We've been in direct contact with the venue's ownership ahead of launch. From Queen Mary's Mile End campus: take the Central line direct to Fairlop station, then it's a 2 minute walk to the venue.

Multiple other padel venues are opening up across London, and we're actively working on building connections with them. We may expand to further venues as the club grows.
