Queen Mary University of London Boat Club (QMULBC) is proud to be a friendly mixed club based in Chiswick, introducing one and all to the fantastic sport that is rowing. QMULBC welcomes all oarsmen/women and coxes of all abilities, taking a great amount of pride in training and developing Queen Mary students into talented rowers, welcoming anyone who wants to give it a go!.
Rowing is THE university sport. Whether its the thrill of racing at BUCS, the prestige of going to Henley Royal Regatta, rowing recreationally, or to be involved in a thriving social environment, then QMULBC is perfect for individuals of all skills and fitness levels to fulfil the ultimate university experience.
Whilst rowing is a recreational sport, we appreciate that university is a time for fun! Every year QMULBC welcomes a great number of members who enjoy the social side of university sport. We host annual traditional social events deemed legendary by all on campus. Especially the monthly ‘Hail Mary’ sports night in Drapers.

All abilities are more than welcome, there's no excuse not to come along and have a go! The taster session is just our chance to show you around our facilities and get you as excited about rowing as we are.
In the first few weeks of term we will host a tank starter sessions at the London Regatta Centre on a Wednesday afternoon, a perfect introduction to rowing for beginnners.
Equipment: Whilst the club provides all the essential rowing equipment, you will need to bring an Oyster card, water, food, flip flops/wellies, sports kit, and a change of clothes as you may get a little wet!
Don't forget to sign up to our mailing list at Freshers Fair for follow up taser sessions and upcoming socials. We would love for you to join our club and welcome all abilities, all we ask in return is commitment and a sense of team spirit!
Training sessions on the water takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Participation is important for those wishing to row with us competitively. Land training is also expected for competitive crews and takes place throughout the week, usually at QMotion.
Senior rowers are always on hand to offer fitness advice and tips to anyone in need, don't be afraid to ask!

A collection of British Rowing races entered last year include WEHoRR and Quintin Head.
