Welcome to the Queen Mary Law Society, the largest academic society at QMUL. Established in 1965, QMLS has been an integral part of the university experience for over 58 years. We take pride in organising a wide range of prestigious events, including the highly anticipated Fresher's Formal, the glamorous Law Ball, and exclusive professional engagements with some of the world's leading law firms.
The QMLS serves to represent all students seeking a career in the legal sector. Throughout the year, the society offers a multitude of events, opportunities, and access points for students at any academic level to gain exposure to all possible legal careers – from working for a City firm to being part of an in-house legal team.
Whether you are an aspiring solicitor, or barrister, or are pursuing an alternative career in law, we aim to open the door of your legal career, connecting you to firms, Chambers, and institutions. Be it applications for vacation schemes, pupillages, training contracts, or work experience, QMLS has something to offer everyone.
