QMRFC:

Founded pre-1900, QMRFC is proud to be one of the longest standing and most prestigious clubs at Queen Mary University; an ever-growing, dynamic and successful club. Queen Mary’s RFC aims to provide levels of rugby enjoyable to all, while pushing our elite players towards higher goals on the back of two promotions in the last two years for our 1^st XV. Ambitions for the 2023/2024 season are high, and with exciting new developments in sport at Queen Mary, QMRFC are primed to take full advantage and have another successful season. We are an all-inclusive club providing opportunities for players at all levels. Taster Session:

January 22nd @East London Rugby Club from 7-9pm

This session will be run by senior members of the club. THERE IS NO SELECTION PROCESS FOR JOINING QMRFC, we WILL provide an opportunity for all to play rugby, be it highly competitive or more social rugby.

Training:

Mondays 19:00-21:00 at East London Rugby Club, West Ham on grass pitches under floodlights. Sessions will consist of contact, drills and skills, along with strength and conditioning.

(Closest tube station to campus is Mile End, three stops away on the district line from West Ham)

Equipment - We provide playing kit and equipment.
For training and matches we ask that you bring a gum shield and rugby boots.

Commitment levels - Attendance at training sessions on Mondays, and for those selected for Wednesday fixtures, is compulsory. Attendance at socials is strongly encouraged, but we understand these aren’t for everyone, so attendance is optional.

Club Socials

Wednesday nights we celebrate the accomplishments of the week, providing a chance for all members to get to know one another. Our events are the envy of all the other sports clubs, because of the variety of social events and the enjoyment of them. We aim to make all our socials fun and inclusive, but we understand they aren’t always for everyone. At QMRFC everyone is a part of the club regardless and we strive to make everyone feel welcome.
