Chess Society

The Chess Society supplies the equipment and a great environment for students to play chess. Our member's abilities range from beginners to advanced, so whatever your abilities there will be someone of similar strength to play against.

With regular social events every Tuesdays 6pm to 9pm for casual chess games and socialising with a great group of people, access to playing in several tournaments all year round, and teaching from our own strongest players, you can play to whatever level you like and get to know a great group of people at the same time. The events take place at Chaplaincy tent.

If you are not a member of the Chess Society, you can still pop in and play. If you like it, then it's easy to become a member online or at the students’ hub reception.
