Welcome to the QMUL Kazakh Society!
QMUL Kazakh Society is a welcoming student-led community created to bring together Kazakh students and everyone interested in Kazakhstan, its culture, traditions, language and modern identity.
Our aim is to create a home away from home for Kazakh students while introducing the wider Queen Mary community to the richness and diversity of Kazakh culture.
Throughout the year, we plan to organise a variety of cultural and social events, including Nauryz celebrations, traditional food tastings, music and film evenings, language exchanges, games, socials and collaborations with other university societies.
We also aim to create opportunities for professional networking by connecting students with alumni, professionals and Kazakh organisations in the UK. Through career talks and collaborative events, members will be able to build meaningful connections both within and beyond the university.
Whether you are Kazakh, Central Asian or simply curious to learn more about Kazakhstan, everyone is welcome. Our society is a place to meet new people, share experiences, celebrate heritage and discover Kazakhstan beyond the stereotypes.
