An academic society that focusses on highlighting diversity in physics and ensuring it is an inclusive space for everyone to pursue their passion in physics. We want to support all students who identify as women and/or LGBTQ+ , in an industry where they may face discrimination or lack of representation.
We're all about inclusion, representation, and support. Our aim is to make physics a space where everyone feels welcome - especially those from minority groups who deserve to feel seen, heard and celebrated. We know that physics can sometimes feel intimidating or exclusive, and we want to break down those barriers by building a community that uplifts and supports each other.
This year, we’ve got a wide mix of events in the works! From relaxed socials where you can unwind and meet new friends, to fun activities and games nights, to inspiring academic talks and workshops that spark curiosity — there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy. We want to make sure there’s always a balance of learning, laughter, and connection.
Most importantly, our society is about more than just events — it’s about creating a space where you feel at home. Whether you join us to meet like-minded people, to share experiences, to explore physics in new ways, or simply for a friendly face on campus, you’ll always have a place here with us.
