Hindu Awareness week

Celebrating Hindu culture and traditions while challenging stereotypes and raising awareness. A week to learn, connect, and celebrate a rich global heritage.

We are delighted to welcome you to this year’s Hindu Awareness Week campaign led by your Vice President Science & Engineering, Tushar Goyal. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the beauty, depth, and diversity of Hinduism - one of the world’s oldest living traditions. Throughout the week, we invite you to engage with the rich cultural, philosophical, and spiritual heritage of Hinduism through our range of events, performances, and discussions. Whether you are familiar with Hindu practices or simply curious to learn more, this week is a chance for everyone to connect, reflect, and celebrate together.

The theme chosen is “Unity in Diversity: Celebrating the Spirit of Sanatana Dharma,” highlights how Hinduism’s teachings are grounded in compassion, peace, and respect for all living beings and continue to inspire people around the world even today. Rooted in the idea that “the world is one family” (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam), the theme reminds us that Hindu philosophy transcends borders and beliefs, inviting all to embrace harmony and shared humanity.

Join us for a week filled with exciting events including panel talks exploring Hindu philosophy and modern perspectives, cultural dance performances that bring ancient stories to life, and delicious food stall offering traditional dishes from India. Experience the serenity of a community pooja (prayer) and learn about its meaning in fostering mindfulness, gratitude, and connection.

We encourage everyone, regardless of faith or background, to take part in celebrating Hindu culture and understanding its profound contributions to art, science, philosophy, and everyday life. Be sure to explore our Culture List, featuring recommended books, films, and music that showcase the essence of Hindu heritage.

We look forward to welcoming you to Hindu Awareness Week 2025, a celebration of tradition, learning, and unity!
