Queen Mary Students’ Union is a democratic membership organisation that is the voice of all Queen Mary students. The Students' Union ensures that the University and the wider community are listening to what students want and works to improve students’ lives.

The Students’ Union has around 250 student staff working across the Mile End, Whitechapel and Charterhouse Square campuses in many different commercial outlets and departments. Our student staff are a focal point of the organization, and they play a key part in delivering excellent service to all our members!

How do I apply?

To apply for a role, you will need to download the application form and send it to the manager recruiting along with your CV. You will also be able to download our Guidance Notes, which include important advice on how to apply. It is important that you read the job description for each role carefully as it will contain important information on the role!

Location of jobs: Student staff roles are based in our outlets, offices and beyond! Locations include the Mile End, Whitechapel and Charterhouse Square Campuses.

  • Community Sport Intern

    Salary:  £11.73 plus 13% holiday pay (Total £13.25)

Through our award-winning sport leadership and workforce development programme, QMSU Community Sport, you’ll play a leading role in the development of our students with training and funded sport qualifications.

  • QMSU Social Leagues Netball Umpire

    Salary:  £10.93 plus 13% holiday pay (Total £12.35)

    Salary:  Voluntary Position

    Details:QMSU Sport are looking to recruit an enthusiastic student, who will drive Rugby participation within the university. The Rugby social league will run for the first year in 2019/20 and include a mixture of different Rugby Union formats Touch, 7’s, 10’s and 15’s. The role of the QMSU Social Leagues - Rugby Ambassador is to develop and improve the QMSU Social leagues Rugby. This will be done through the organisation of the leagues and officiating the games each evening.
