Queen Mary Students’ Union is a democratic membership organisation that is the voice of all Queen Mary students. The Students' Union ensures that the University and the wider community are listening to what students want and works to improve students’ lives.

The Students’ Union has around 150 student staff working across the Mile End, Whitechapel and Charterhouse Square campuses in many different commercial outlets and departments. Our student staff are the focal point of the organisation, and they play a key part in delivering an excellent service to all our members!

  • Postgraduate Research Representation Assistant

    Salary:  £14.15 per hour (plus 13% holiday pay)

    Details:We’re looking for a current Queen Mary postgraduate research student to join our team as our PGR Representation Assistant. The PGR Representation Assistant will be responsible for helping us implement new initiatives to improve representation of postgraduate researchers within the Students’ Union. The role is varied, and you’ll be working closely with elected officers and staff members from different teams across the Students’ Union and QMUL. This is a great opportunity to support your peers!

  • Ground Café Supervisor

    Salary:  £14.15 per hour (plus 13% holiday pay)

    Details:Do you have a passion for coffee and genuinely enjoy great customer service, whilst also looking to take on a little more responsibility within the Café, as a Café Supervisor? You'll need to ensure all areas of the Café are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and the space is always fully stocked, whilst assisting the Manager and delivering a great coffee experience, have a personable yet responsible approach, a willingness to learn and a keen interest in being a leader within the team.

  • Postgraduate Engagement Assistant

    Details:We’re looking for a current Queen Mary postgraduate student (Master’s, PhD or another postgraduate programme) to join our team as our Postgraduate Engagement Assistant. You will be responsible for planning and delivering services and activities tailored for postgraduates to ensure we engage effectively with QMUL’s postgraduate community. The role is varied, and you’ll be working closely with elected officers and staff members from different teams across the Students’ Union and QMUL.

  • Student Voice Intern

    Salary:  £14.15 per hour (plus 13% holiday pay)

    Details:We’re looking for a current Queen Mary student to join our team as our Student Voice Intern. Every year the Student Voice team ensure that students can put themselves forward to represent their cohort, electing over 450 Course Reps every year. The Student Voice Intern will be responsible for helping us to recruit and train our Representatives, help to communicate, and engage with course reps across every school and department, and promote the activity of our course reps.
