Queen Mary Students’ Union is a democratic membership organisation that is the voice of all Queen Mary students. The Students' Union ensures that the University and the wider community are listening to what students want and works to improve students’ lives.

The Students’ Union has around 150 student staff working across the Mile End, Whitechapel and Charterhouse Square campuses in many different commercial outlets and departments. Our student staff are the focal point of the organisation, and they play a key part in delivering an excellent service to all our members!

    Details:We’re looking for a current Queen Mary postgraduate student to join our team as our Postgraduate Engagement Assistant. In the past year, we have conducted research with postgraduate students to understand what they want from the Students’ Union, and the Postgraduate Engagement Assistant will play a key role in implementing the recommendations from the research.

  • Barista

    Salary: £12.75 per hour (inclusive of 13% holiday pay)

  • Volunteering Intern

    Details:We are looking for a current student to join the Students’ Union as our Student Volunteering Intern. The role will primarily involve providing administration and operational support for the Students’ Union’s Volunteering Service. Volunteering offers students an opportunity to develop their employability skills, to have a positive impact in our local community and to meet other students, developing a sense of community and purpose and enhancing their university experience.

  • Bid Writing Assistant Project (Postgraduate)

    Details:Queen Mary Students’ Union has partnered with other organisations in Tower Hamlets, one of our borough councils, on a project to help strengthen the local Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS). In a pilot project, Queen Mary postgraduate students will be trained as bid writers and paired with local VCS organisations, helping them developing applications for external funding, which will enable them to continue and/or further their impact.
