Times Higher Education Awards Nomination!

Community Sport nominated for 2015 awards

Table of awards and trophies

QMSU Community Sport has been nominated for a Times Higher Education award in the category of Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community!

Community Sport, formerly known as the Olympic Legacy Project, was set up to provide accessible and affordable sports activities, delivered by QMUL students, in the local community following the success of London 2012.

The project supports QMSU students to achieve National Governing Body accredited sports coaching qualifications, gain further employability skills and improve the provision of sport in the community. During the 2013/14 academic year, over 600 hours of volunteering was completed within local schools, sports clubs and community organisations.

The awards take place on Thursday November 26th at the Grosvenor House Hotel.

If you are a current QMSU student and are keen to get involved with Community Sport, take a look at the relevant section of our website
