A fantastic RAG week saw us raise lots of money for our 3 nominated charities, Maggie's Barts, Refuge and the Cardinal Hume Centre.
We kicked off with Take Me Out on the Friday before RAG week to a full house. A fantastic evening hosted by Eddie Anderson, saw some pairings of unsuspecting freshers and seniors. The boys impressed with hilarious videos and unique skills. The boys who weren't as successful with the ladies were auctioned off to the audience in the name of charity.
The success continued into the Monday and Tuesday with a sell out Bake Sale of Krispy Kreme Donuts and Hummingbird Bakery Cupcakes.
The Wednesday saw the return of an unusually messy I’m a BNOC event including the first ever sibling rivaly in the competition. The winner was one of our fresher BNOC's Eve, and the evening was hosted brilliantly by our current Sports Officer, Bridget Cullinan.
Returning to the classier side of the RAG events, on Thursday Maggie’s Barts, one of our chosen charities, hosted an inagural wine and cheese evening, with a raffle including some fantastic prizes such as a Sipsmith Gin Distillery Tour for two and a £50 experience days voucher. (Donated by Sipsmith Gin and Experience days: www.experiencedays.co.uk )
On Friday we had the annual Dental Beer Race in conjunction with Dental Society, raising money for both the RAG charities and their chosen charity this year, Operation Smile.
