QMSU Volunteering has won the Solidarity Sports University Partner Award!

At Solidarity Sports’ Volunteer Appreciation Night, QMSU was awarded their University Partner Award.

At Solidarity Sports’ Volunteer Appreciation Night, QMSU was awarded their University Partner Award, recognising the strong relationship that we have built with their charity. How strong is this relationship exactly? Last academic year, students logged an impressive 250+ volunteering hours with Solidarity Sports... That alone tells you how popular their volunteering opportunities are!

Solidarity Sports offers meaningful volunteering opportunities supporting children with complex trauma. They support children’s healing through sport, healthy eating, arts, educational trips, mentorship programmes, and holidays both within the UK and abroad. They’re committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and loving environment where happy memories can flourish.

Whether twirling on the skating rink, throwing stones into the sea at Brighton Beach, or nourishing minds at the Natural History Museum, Solidarity Sports volunteers are vital in making those magical memories that children will hold onto for years to come.

This year, Solidarity Sports organised a great Give Volunteering a Go opportunity with us and attended our Volunteering Fairs, which means many of you had the chance to hear from their team directly. Plus, they even delivered an inspiring speech at our Volunteering Awards Ceremony in April!

We look forward to continuing our partnership with Solidarity Sports and can’t wait to see what more great work our volunteers do with them in the future!

If you’re interested in volunteering with Solidarity Sports, there are currently still opportunities available on our Volunteering Hub – including during the Christmas holidays! Click here to check them out and apply to take part.
