Resistance area, active & performance studio closures update 21/2/24

Due to the unforeseen extension to the time needed to complete these essential works to ensure the mezzanine space is safe and available for use, we will be temporarily moving the resistance machine equipment to the active studio to allow members access and use of this equipment.

Firstly we wanted to thank you for your continued patience while the essential maintenance works are taking place within the gym, as we appreciate how frustrating and disappointing this must be for you. With this in mind and also due to the unforeseen extension to the time needed to complete these essential works to ensure the mezzanine space is safe and available for use, we will be temporarily moving the resistance machine equipment to the active studio to allow members access and use of this equipment. Additionally, members will also be able to use the performance studio as usual again when classes and club sport programmes are not taking place in this space. Access to these areas will be from the main gym floor and will be managed and monitored by the Qmotion gym team and Queen Mary university security team. These changes will come into effect from Tuesday 27th February.

Club sport, Get active and private bookings will now take place in our mind body studio and sports hall when space permits – further information will be communicated to these groups as soon as possible.

All other areas and services remain open and available as usual.

We are working closely with the university to ensure works are completed as soon as possible and will provide updates as soon as further information is provided. Once again we would like to thank you for your patience and we are grateful for your continued understanding at this time.

We will endeavor to ensure the works are completed as soon as possible, and are working closely with the university for this to happen. We really appreciate your continued patience and understanding during this time.
