BL mixed Lacrosse club are looking for an enthusiastic and talented coach to run the training sessions for the upcoming academic year. The club currently competes in LUSL, the successful applicant will have experience delivering Lacrosse sessions to athletes of different experience levels as well as be able to develop stick skills and foundational Lacrosse skills. Tactical and strategical knowledge of the sport is also required.
Required Qualifications & Certifications
• Relevant Coaching Qualification
• First Aid Certificate
• Relevant Insurance
Training Days
x1.5 hours p/week.Specific training times TBC.
Job Description
• Plan and lead training sessions to a group of mixed ability members with diverse backgrounds and experience of the sport
• Build confidence of returning members and keep retention rates up
• Provide coaching expertise to improve the quality and standard of training
• Be a consistently encouraging and motivating presence within the club
• Develop the club to be more competitive and win as many competitions as possible
• Be passionate about the sport and building an inclusive and fun environment for members
• Have an understanding of higher education sport
• Focus on improving members technique to prevent injury
• Work with the club committee to achieve the clubs aims and objectives for this year
• Display good coaching conduct in line with Queen Mary Student's Union Code of Conduct
