We (Queen Mary Students’ Union) are a democratic, membership-led charity that exists to improve students’ lives.  As the Student Engagement Administrator (Volunteering & RAG), you’ll contribute to this by supporting our Volunteering & RAG Coordinator to deliver volunteering opportunities for students via our brokerage service and Give Volunteering a Go program. You will also support student groups to fundraise for charities (RAG). 

The Students’ Union supports over 28,000 students who make up the diverse and vibrant student body at Queen Mary University of London.

Applicants should have a passion and enthusiasm for improving the student experience, a positive attitude and commitment to improving the inclusivity of our activities and providing an excellent service. The successful candidate will have the ability to use their own initiative and be flexible when faced with a variety of tasks. Applicants should have excellent organisation and communication skills, have experience in administration, and be able to work with a wide range of people from all different backgrounds.

The Student Engagement Team support over 250 student groups. In addition to Volunteering and RAG, the team is also responsible for Societies, Student Media, Employability and Sustainability.

This role will be key in improving specific areas of volunteering, for example building stronger relationships with our community partners, while ensuring the volunteering service caters to students.  

This is a full-time (35 hours per week), permanent position. The starting salary will be £ £29,818 per annum pro-rata, inclusive of the London Allowance, with annual raises by one point as set out in the QMUL Pay and Grading Structure.
