If you have a passion for creating great food, or have experience working in a kitchen environment, then we want to hear from you. Our Union kitchens at Drapers and the Griff are kept running by students with an eye for detail, and want to provide great service for everybody who walks through our doors. The right candidate will enjoy fast-paced environments, multitasking and be good at following instructions from their chef/supervisor. As well as this, our back of house staff aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty, and are happy to help with all aspects of kitchen operations, including preparation of items for our hospitality service. Back of House staff will also support the departments events, helping with the operation of cloakroom, ticketing and ensuring our event nights run as smoothly as possible.

Please note: this role will start in full in September 2025, with an expectation to complete paid training over the summer. Attendance at our 2-day training session on 31st August and 1st September is compulsory. Only students who will be enrolled at Queen Mary University of London in the 2025-2026 academic year can apply for this role. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
