Careers and Employability Representative

Hi! We’re Vedika Ajitsaria and Gauri Pandey, your Student Representatives for Careers. 

Although people often assume we’re in the same year, we’re actually not - Vedika is in Year 3, while Gauri is in Year 2! Our friendship spans two different year groups, giving us perspectives from both junior and senior students, and helping us better understand the different challenges students face throughout their university journey. 

Our favourite spot on campus has to be The Nest. Whether we’re catching up on coursework, having meetings, or simply relaxing with friends, it’s the perfect balance of cozy and productive. And with the Community Shop right below, having snacks within arm’s reach is always a bonus! 

We decided to run for Student Representative because we saw a clear gap in the careers support available to students. We know that internships, placements, networking, and graduate opportunities can often feel overwhelming, and we want to help bridge that gap by ensuring every student regardless of their course, background, or year of study has access to meaningful opportunities, practical guidance, and the support they need to feel confident about their future. 

Outside of university, you’ll usually find us making the most of London together. We love exploring new neighbourhoods, trying different cafés and restaurants, discovering hidden gems, and fully embracing everything the city has to offer. We believe some of the best conversations happen over good food, so if you ever spot us around campus, feel free to come over and chat!
