International Representative

I’m Anna Borysova, final year Economics and Politics student, and I will be your International Representative. I’m seriously in love with swimming, diving and everything sea/ocean related. As a hobby I often enjoy archery and reading thrilling novels, preferably somewhere beside the Canal. You could have seen me being part of student societies, functions and events, which I enjoy the most about Queen Mary. But most importantly, I am an international student who, among others, faces a completely different reality in the UK. And that’s unique to everyone. 

The key slogan of my campaign is One Stop Support. Moving to a new country isn’t just a change of scenery. It’s a whole new system to navigate. From visa delays to settling into an unfamiliar city, I’ve experienced the challenges international students face. 

I want every international student at QMUL to feel supported, heard and hopefully empowered. You shouldn’t just get by, but truly thrive in this new and exciting environment. Your journey matters. Your voice matters. And I will be that channel of your voice.
