Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty Representative

About

Asmir Khan

Hi everyone! My name is Asmir, and I'm proud to be your Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Student Representative.

I'm currently studying BSc Business and Management at Queen Mary, and I decided to become an HSS Rep because I believe every student deserves to have their voice heard. University is about much more than lectures and assignments, it's about feeling part of a supportive community, making meaningful connections, and making the most of your time here. I wanted to take on this role because I'm passionate about representing students, listening to your ideas and concerns, and working with the University to make our student experience even better.

If you ever need to find me on campus, there's a good chance I'll be at Ground Café. It's easily my favourite spot to grab a coffee, catch up with friends, or take a break between lectures. It's one of those places that really captures the friendly atmosphere of campus life.

Outside of university, I have a strong interest in business, entrepreneurship, and leadership. I enjoy learning about successful companies, following business trends, and taking on opportunities that help me develop new skills. When I'm not studying, you'll usually find me at the gym, watching football or Formula 1, exploring new cafés and restaurants, or heading to the cinema to watch the latest films. I also enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultures whenever I get the chance.

I'm excited to represent our HSS community this year and to make sure your voices are heard. Whether you have feedback, ideas, or just want to chat, don't hesitate to say hello if you see me around campus. I look forward to meeting you all!
