School of Medical and Dental Sciences Pre-Clinical (Medicine) Representative

About the role:

The School of Medical and Dental Sciences Pre-Clinical (Medicine) Representative represents students in pre-clinical years studying MB BS Medicine at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with and lobby Queen Mary University of London and other relevant organisations to achieve improvements for their students
• Seek feedback from these students in order accurately to represent their interests
• Where appropriate, support the Executive Committee in their duties and responsibilities and seek support from them with respect to their own duties and responsibilities
• Cooperate and coordinate with the Allied Courses Representative and the other School of Medical and Dental Sciences representatives where appropriate
• Liaise with members of student groups relevant to the role
• Co-chair the MB BS Junior Student-Staff Liaison Committee

Meetings I attend:

• Student Council (2 hour meeting, five times a year)
• BLSA Board (2 hour meeting, six times a year)
• MB BS Junior Student-Staff Liaison Committee
