Student Trustee 1

About the role:

The Student Trustees sit as members of the Board of Trustees, which is the body that is ultimately responsible for the management, oversight and administration of the Students’ Union.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the governance of the Union and ensure it meets its legal obligations
• Assist with the budgeting of the Union and ensure it meets its financial obligations
• Define the strategy of the Union and ensure it meets its developmental obligations

Meetings I attend:

• Board of Trustees (four times a year, including July)
• Various sub-committees of the Board of Trustees
• One Student Trustee is appointed to the Board of QMSU Services Limited
