Women's Week

Madhura (BL Womens rep), Diya (President) and Divyani (BL Womens rep)

Women’s Week at Queen Mary is our first ever cross campus Women’s Week, bringing together students, staff and societies from across the university in a collective celebration of strength, talent and leadership. Taking place from 23rd February to 7th March, this two week liberation campaign reflects in many ways, the scale of our ambition, the strength of our community, and the impact of our collective action.

Women’s Week is led by me, Diya, your QMSU President, alongside BLSA Women’s Representatives Divyani and Madhura. It is proudly supported by student leaders including Anushka, International Representative, Kulsum, BLSA BAME Representative, VP Welfare Eshwinder, and numerous societies across all campuses. This week is truly powered by collaboration, solidarity, and collective action.

This year, we are reclaiming our narrative in pink. It is bold, powerful and unapologetic. Through our branding, events and conversations we are redefining what it means to take up space, to lead, to speak and to be seen. We are choosing to celebrate femininity on our own terms, challenging stereotypes and embracing strength and intersectionality in every form.

This week is about more than celebration. It is about action. It is about amplifying voices that are often unheard, challenging barriers that still exist and building spaces where everyone can thrive. Through our events, discussions and initiatives, we hope to inspire confidence, spark meaningful conversations, challenge misogny, and strengthen our commitment to gender equity.

Come and get involved. Join us. Celebrate with us. Learn with us. Stand with us. Let’s make this first cross campus Women’s Week powerful, purposeful and unforgettable, and we cannot wait for you, yes you! to get involved.
