The Student Media Board is made up of the Editor-In-Chief or Station Manager or equivalent for every Student Media Outlet of Queen Mary Students’ Union who represent, develop and help steer the management of Student Media. It works in tandem with the Student Media Finance & Affiliation Panel which grants funding to Student Media Outlets and affiliates or disaffiliates the Outlets.
The Board is chaired by the Student Media Chair, a student who has been involved in student media and is elected into position by the members of the Student Media Board.
The Board usually meeting monthly where possible, but no more than 2 months should pass between meetings during Term 1 & 2.

The Student Media Board is also attended by the Student Engagement Manager, who minutes the meeting and helps with the operation of the meeting, and the Students’ Union’s President (or delegate).
The Board meetings are formal meetings that follow an agenda, and the Secretary takes minutes of the meetings. The agendas will be published five working days before the meeting, and minutes will be published after they have been ratified.
