We successfully applied to be a Co-op Local Community Cause and have received funding to deliver inclusive sport sessions for school children in the borough. This is a great opportunity for students who would be interested in gaining inclusive sport qualifications and helping to provide activity for young people with disabilities.
These sessions typically involve working with local housing associations in their youth clubs and community centres to provide opportunities to engage in sport with short periods of mentoring integrated throughout to cover a range of topics including academic support, personal goals and career pathways.
