Manifesto

Irina Svishcheva

#1 For School of Politics & International Relations Rep.

Who am I?

- 2nd Year Student: International Relations

- Board member of the CIS society

-Former volunteer at the CitizensUK campaigns

-Former member of the High School Representative Council

I have a Russian/Ukrainian background, and the recent international events have influenced me to be brave, and to help people express their true beliefs and exercise their rights.

I have always been an active member of our society, for example I have been involved in “Citizens UK” campaign on air pollution in Tower hamlets. In this campaign, I have developed all the essential skills that helped me to bring a change and to influence the more powerful executives (such as London Mayor himself), to make them listen to our agenda, to speak for the people we represented.

I believe it is vital to empower the student body with a voice that will stand up for their rights.

I will lobby for improvements across the board throughout the campus in relation to:

*student lecturer relationships

*fair representation and treatment of all ethnicities

*Assessment deadlines and marking due to future political, health and safety situations

If elected I would make it my goal to defend your rights, to make each voice valuable!
