Hello everyone!
My name is Nefeli and I hope to be your next BLUSsoc treasurer!
I have previously held this position twice on my school’s student council in high school, so I have a good idea of what this role entails. I believe I would do a good job at managing the funding and accounts for BLUSsoc in an efficient and sensible way, in order to achieve the goals and expectations of our society. I am good at collaborating and working alongside my peers and I enjoy being a team player. Also, I have good organizational skills, and I can work my way around an Excel file! If I get elected I will ensure that the committee is regularly updated about the financial status of the society. I understand the position of treasurer holds a lot of responsibility and I feel I can carry out the tasks required to a high standard. My action plans are:
- to facilitate the social secretary officer in the organization of events based on our budget.
- to use our funding from memberships to buy more USMLE step books such as First aid and Pathoma for students to use at both campuses.
- to find a way to help students struggling financially to get access to websites that offer question banks for preparation of USMLE such as Sketchy and UWorld.
- and to increase the support and sponsorship of the society, as I am eager to see our society thrive.
