Rites of Passage 2018

Tickets are now sold out

Thank you to everyone who has purchased tickets to attend the Rites of Passage Ceremony for 2018.

Unfortunately, due to unprecedented popularity, there are no further guest tickets available for the ceremony. It should be noted that this is not a compulsory aspect of graduation and due to unusually high demand, the allocation has been sold out.

Tickets have been on sales since 28th March for medics, and 18th May for dentists, and all students were afforded the opportunity to purchase at least four tickets (one for themselves, and three for guests). It was stressed in our regular communications that tickets should be purchased early to avoid disappointment.

At this stage, we cannot guarantee that any more tickets will become available. However, if you have currently purchased no tickets at all (without considering guest tickets) for the ceremony then please email ritesofpassage@bartslondon.com as we would like to ensure as many of you who wish to attend can do so. Therefore, on the slim possibility of any tickets becoming available, you will be afforded priority on the waiting list.

Please let us know if you have any queries, and we look forward to welcoming all of you who are attending at the ceremony!

The Event

Every medical and dental graduate is invited to Rites of Passage, the farewell ceremony from the incredible community which we value so highly. This ceremony will take place on Monday 16th July in the evening, after QMUL graduation ceremonies taking place at Mile End during the day.

Graduands have their contributions recognised as they walk across the stage at St Paul’s Cathedral and receive their scroll. Prizes, academic awards, blues and colours are mentioned to ensure that every aspect of our fantastic community can be recognised. After receiving their scrolls, students ,  staff and qualified family members are invited to recite The Declaration of Geneva (the modern Hippocratic Oath) together.

True platform party consists of the various Deans and educators who have played a major part in our education and also invited guests who support our community.
