Saturday 25 April 2026, 9am - 2pm

Garrod Building, Turner Street
About this event

Following the success of our previous microsurgical skills programme, we are pleased to introduce Skin to Structure — a consultant-led teaching series exploring the principles of plastic and reconstructive surgery, from delicate tissue handling to structural restoration.

This series offers medical students and junior doctors a structured, hands-on approach to understanding how surgeons restore both form and function, combining technical skill development with real clinical insight.

💡 What to expect:
•  Precision tissue handling and suturing techniques
•  Principles of reconstruction and wound closure
•  Hands-on simulated models to develop fine motor skills
•  Direct teaching and career insights from consultant surgeons

Whether you joined our previous courses and are looking to build on your skills, or were unable to secure a place, this is an excellent opportunity to get involved.

🗓️ Date: 25th April 2026
⏰ Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm
📍 Location: Garrod Physiology Lab
