About the Opportunity:

Connect two of the world’s most chic capital cities as you embark on the challenge of a lifetime for St Joseph's Hospice. Cycling through beautiful English villages and into the stunning countryside of rural France you’ll pass historical landmarks and famous battlefields from World War I until you reach Paris, undoubtedly one of the most magical places on earth. The sense of achievement you’ll experience will be one you’ll treasure forever.

Itinerary

Day 1

London to Calais - Your challenge begins bright and early and the route winds through the British countryside before reaching the white cliffs of Dover before catching the ferry over to Calais.

Day 2

Calais to Abbeville - Stunning picturesque countryside awaits you in northern France as we travel south through some beautiful quaint villages before spending the night in Abbeville

Day 3

Abbeville to Beauvais - The route follows the river Somme out of Abbeville and through the countryside before finishing the day in Beauvais

Day 4

Beauvais to Paris - The final day of cycling includes a lovely lunchtime in a wooded area next to the River Oise before cycling in to Paris for a spectacular finale at the Eiffel Tower!

Day 5

Paris to London - Enjoy your day soaking up the Parisian way of life and exploring the city before meeting at the Gare du Nord to catch the Eurostar home with new friends and happy memories!

The entry fee for this event is £99, individuals who take part will have a fundraising target of £1460!

About the Charity:

St Joseph’s Hospice first opened in 1905 and since then has been caring for and supporting people affected by serious illness. We try to improve the quality of life for people with life-limiting conditions and help them live life to the full, to the very end. Supporting families and carers is also an important part of what we do.

Care we provide:

We care for people living in North and East London and our hospice services include:

palliative care

nursing and medical care

emotional support

practical advice

physical and psychological therapies

spiritual care

social and creative activities.

Our staff are experts in caring for people who have life-limiting conditions or who are coming to the end of their life, and in supporting families and carers.

in our community spaces

in the community

in patients' own homes

in care homes

in other residential settings.
