Holocaust Memorial Talk: Zigi Shipper and Michelle Richman

Monday 07 February 2022, 6:30pm - 8pm

About this event

In remembrance of Holocaust Memorial Day on the 27th January, we have the honour of welcoming Zigi Shipper and his daughter Michelle Richman to Queen Mary to give an online talk to our students about Zigi's experiences during the second world war.

Zigi Shipper is a survivor of the Holocaust. As a child, he experienced the Lódz Ghetto and several camps including Auschwitz-Birkenau. He was liberated after surviving a death march and came to England. Today, Zigi speaks to thousands of students across the UK, and is committed to sharing his story and teaching the dangers of hatred.
