Welcome to the twelfth century! The Queen Mary (Medieval) Re-enactment Society is a spin-off group of Historia Normannis, one of the UK's most prolific medieval re-enactment companies. We train with the Normannis North London group to practice safe, competitive combat, as well as living history, (ranging from dressmaking, leatherwork- all sorts!) We use real steel weaponry and authentic materials, and in the summer we use our skills to the fullest at huge historical displays across the country,
Our aims: To learn about the materials and lifestyle in the 12th century, to teach and learn about the 12th century, and to take part in displays of safe medieval combat.
To learn more about Historia Normannis and 12th century history in general, please visit www.normannis.co.uk, and find our group on Facebook under QMRS Normannis: https://www.facebook.com/qmrsnormannis
We're a friendly bunch, meeting on alternate Saturdays and Sundays to train, learn new skills, and generally have a laugh. Join our mailing list to keep up to date with what we're doing at the weekends- it's never too late in the year to join in! Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with "mailing list addition" in the subject title, and of course, any questions you might have.
