The 21st Century is rightly known as the Asian Century. The rapid economic growth of India and China beginning in the 1980s has caused this century to be named so.
The IMF makes clear predictions that South Asia is leading the growth race in the world, with Europe fairing far worse than Asia and Pacific put together. Hence this society was founded with the aim of understanding what is it, that Asia is doing right and what other can learn from this.
Through our society we aim to contribute to the dialogues on the development of Asia.The society aims to release a journal at the end of each term, compiling the writings of our analysts and guest writers. Guest writers are most welcome and that can be both students and faculty at Queen Mary or any other university in the UK or Asia.
