Queen Mary University of London Institute of Dentistry (QMUL IoD)
UDRS is a scientific hub created and managed by students for student. We work closely with academics in and beyond our Dental Institute to provide extensive support for involvement of students in clinical audits and research activities.
Come forward and you can be involved and enjoy as little or as much as you want.
At UDRS, our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential in the world of research. We believe in the transformative power of knowledge and are dedicated to creating opportunities that propel students forward in their academic journeys.
Funding for Excellence:
One of our key initiatives involves securing funding to obtain prizes for students who enter national research competitions. We understand the importance of recognising and rewarding exceptional efforts, and through strategic partnerships and collaborations, we ensure that deserving students receive the acknowledgment they deserve.
Navigating the world of research can be a daunting task, and that's why we are committed to connecting students with experienced mentors. Our mentorship program pairs students with professionals who guide and inspire them throughout their research projects.
Enhancing Research Skills:
Knowledge is the foundation of success, and we are dedicated to building that foundation by hosting seminars aimed at improving students' research skills. These seminars cover a range of topics, providing valuable insights and practical tips to help students excel in their academic pursuits.
Fostering Competition and Creativity:
In addition to supporting existing competitions, we host our own annual essay competitions. These competitions are designed to challenge students, encourage critical thinking, and foster a spirit of healthy competition. We believe in celebrating creativity and originality, and our essay competitions provide a platform for students to showcase their intellectual prowess.
