Young Leaders Academy

Pilot Year

In 2019/20, we launched our Young Leaders Academy to develop a workforce of future leaders from local schools and colleges whilst bridging the gap between further and higher education. During this pilot year, we accpeted 11 young leaders onto the academy. Collectively, these young leaders had over 1,421 participant engagements in the local community.

QMUL students can support the academy as mentors for the young leaders by providing advice on university life and personal goals.

2020/21 Academic Year

We will be opening the application process in the coming months for more young people to join the academy.

In return for their outreach, young people will benefit from certificates, clothing and funded training opportunities. We will also celebrate the success of young leaders by hosting an Awards Night in the summer.
