Your VP S&E for 21/22 has been working with Careers and Enterprise and the Faculty of Science and Engineering to promote internships for S&E students.

Introduction

 

With this project, we are aiming to help you to find internship project and improve your CV and increase your employability. Also, some undergraduate degrees require internship projects before graduation so this project will help and guide them. As a SU, doing an internship will give you a chance to apply your theoretical knowledge to industry and help you to develop new skills in a working environment. This project will mostly focus on summer internship and graduate internships.

Applying an internship could be challenging sometimes and we are aware of some difficult steps and will try to guide you through this process and increase your chance of being an intern in leading companies. We will share some tips which can strengthen your application.

This project will contain external and internal internship projects. Some internal internships will be either paid or credit-bearing. All external ones will be only paid. Also, there will be career events either in person or online or both where you will find a chance to increase your network and get some ideas and understand more about working environment while you study.
