Bookings are now open for the Semester B PGR Educator Programme (PREP). All four PREP workshops, facilitated by the Queen Mary Academy, will run across three days (January 14-16). These are interactive workshops that will give you the tools, confidence, and inspiration to flourish as an educator at Queen Mary, and provide practical strategies you can use immediately and ideas that will stay with you throughout your academic career.

Teach Your First Session 

Are you a PGR or early career educator preparing for your new academic year as a teaching assistant, teaching fellow or demonstrator? Are you interested in developing techniques to enhance student learning? Full day interactive workshop programme designed for educators who are new to teaching and supporting student learning in HE. 

How Students Learn
Deepen your understanding of how students learn by exploring key learning theories and frameworks, including constructivism and Bloom’s Taxonomy. Discover practical ways to apply these insights to enhance your teaching and design more engaging learning experiences.

Effective Feedback for Summative Assessment
What makes feedback truly useful? This interactive workshop will help you reflect on your current feedback practices and develop strategies for providing feedback that supports student learning and growth.

Supervising Students’ Academic Work (Taught Programmes only)
Are you supervising dissertations, final-year projects, or coursework? This practical session will help you strengthen your supervisory skills and reflect on your approach to supporting student learning  - with hands-on activities and resources you can use right away.
