Hyperlink wins the Innovation Award at the Bright Network Society of the Year Awards

We’re thrilled to announce that Hyperlink, one of our societies at Queen Mary, has won the Innovation Award at the Bright Network Society of the Year Awards.

We’re thrilled to announce that Hyperlink, one of our societies at Queen Mary, has won the Innovation Award at the Bright Network Society of the Year Awards. They received the award for their ground-breaking solutions of developing a hyperloop transport technology. For winning the award, the society received £900, which will support them in buildings London’s first Hyperloop Pod. This is a remarkable achievement and we are incredibly proud of their efforts.

Hyperlink Society is a community of over 70 students from London universities, with 45 of them being based at Queen Mary, that aim to develop and shape the future of transport.

As per their website, “Hyperloop is a novel transportation system initially proposed by Elon Musk in 2013. The system consists of vacuum tubes and magnetically levitating pods. It’s forecasted that, if implemented successfully, Hyperloop will be able to reach speeds of over 1000 km/h while staying highly energy efficient.” At the moment, Hyperlink is researching methods to repurpose current infrastructure to enhance the financial viability of the system.

Bright Network is a free career platform that connects students and recent graduates with opportunities and guidance to make informed career decisions and progress successfully in the workforce of tomorrow.

Congratulations once again to Hyperlink society for their outstanding achievement.
