We are aware of a phishing email that some students have received claiming to be from the university and suggesting that an additional tuition fee payment is required.
Please do not make any payment to the account details listed in that email and do not contact the email addresses listed in that email. If you haven't made a payment then then there is nothing further you need to do.
If you are concerned that you have clicked on any links or provided any personal details, we strongly recommend that you reset your password immediately using the following link: https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/
What to do if you have made a payment
If you have already made a payment to the account with the sort code 11-05-75 mentioned in the phishing email, please complete the following steps:
Contact your bank immediately to advise you have made a payment following a phishing scam and initiate a refund
Email proof of the payment to Queen Mary’s Finance Office via finance@qmul.ac.uk
Microsoft Online Password Reset
Report the payment via https://reporting.reportfraud.police.uk/
