QMUL Survey Season
This year, the Students’ Union will be supporting the University’s Survey Season! There are currently three major national surveys for all taught students, which are:
We encourage all students to fill in these surveys, as they’re a really important method of providing feedback on your course, university experience and more. If you’re a final year student, fill in the National Student Survey (NSS), which will collect feedback on your academic experiences, which is used to help inform the choices of prospective Queen Mary students, contribute to public accountability and provide data that assists the University in enhancing the University experience.
The UK Engagement Survey (UKES) is a national survey for all undergraduates apart from final years and is designed to give students the opportunity to provide honest feedback about their course and their experiences at Queen Mary and responses will be used to improve the learning experience and services at Queen Mary.
The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) is an opportunity for all taught postgraduate students to reflect on their learning and teaching experience. The results will help the University promote the taught postgraduate offering at QMUL.
We’re also running a survey at the minute on digital resources in teaching, learning and assessment as part of our Student Experience Survey this year. Questions will cover topics such as whether lectures are recorded on Q-Review, specialist software, access and more! You can fill out the Student Experience Survey here.
Students’ Union President Yas has said of Survey Season:
“Surveys are the perfect opportunity for students to inform the university and Students’ Union about how students feel. The student voice is particularly something that often gets overlooked and it is more important than ever to ensure that everyone’s voices are heard, these surveys are an excellent way of doing that!”
