#SAVEOURBL Executive Officer Statement

We as Executive Officers are greatly concerned by the recent changes in the Barts and The London brand, which has occurred with little or no student consultation.

As an Executive Officer Team, we have spent much of our year so far working alongside the Senior Team at the University to ensure student voice is at the centre of all that they do.

Many efforts have been made to raise concerns and work with the University to reach a solution through numerous meetings. We have also proposed a number of compromises. Despite these efforts, the University has decided that this rebranding is the new direction for Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry going forward, and will not listen to further concerns.

The student voice is integral and should underpin everything we do across this institution. It is our job as Executive Officers to represent students and act in their best interests. We cannot ignore the level of concern that has been raised about this matter and so have decided to take further action in lobbying the University to work with us to come to a compromise that will suit all parties

Your voice and support is instrumental in helping us to show the University how important this is, so please #SaveOurBL by signing and sharing the petition on the link below.
