Sporting Focus: QM Baseball Club

This week we are shining the light onto our amazing Queen Mary Baseball Club! Get the low down on everything you need to know about this club below.

What days and times do you train? Where do you train?

Wednesdays and Saturdays, 1-3pm in Mile End Park.

What makes your training sessions enjoyable?

We train outside in Mile End Park which is very close to University. We start our sessions by doing drills and game technique and then finish with game scenarios. We allow anyone to be a member of the club, regardless of ability and have two teams in which everyone will get to play for.

What was your club’s biggest success of the past year?

Coming second in the National University Baseball Championship within a year of the club forming. At the upcoming nationals in October we are hoping to do even better with our new recruits gathered over the summer.

So why should you get involved?

We are open to all ranges of abilities, from lifelong veterans to absolute beginners. It's a great place to meet people and get to experience a sport that is quickly growing in the UK.

And a final fun fact about this club?

We organise to have Great Britain baseball and softball coaching staff to come to our trainings and help develop our players.
